Joooooooooooohn!!!!!!!!

haha Great stuff, as usual - i think the only thing i could really criticize in this was the transition from the "foot in the face" scene to the "Mike McNanner (sp?)" end scene... The other guy just seemed to appear out of nowhere, and i think it might have been slightly more effective to have had him walk idly into the scene, or even, better yet, have made him be the guy who bumped between them in the beginning hahaha yeah, that'd be great..

Anyways, great stuff - always quality video, funny sounds, good voices... but gateway? *sigh*

Keep it up!

Knox responds:

yeah i probably shouldnt timed that last part better..bleh, i get so sloppy when im near the end x___x

I give it a Zero... Again.

Why did you feel you must submit this again? There aren't any improvements you could have made in an hour to make this submission any better! Maybe you spent the hour thinking through your clever description? Or whacking off?

Either way, enjoy yourself in BLAM HELL!

D

grijsklokje responds:

No, actually, it was 3-3.5 hours. Also, I wasn't whacking off nor thinking it through. I was at soccertraining, because I myself, have better things to do then just write stupid reviews to other's people work.
And thank you, I sure will enjoy myself in blam hell! I'll see you there I guess, let's have a big orgy!

'One' thing

Lip synching was good, but you have too much tounge for the 'O' sound in 'ONE' if you sing it, you notice your tounge is back in your mouth, not out there in front... that's why it's looking so awkward.

Otherwise, the graphics were great, but i couldn't get the second guitar to work (?) maybe i'm just not patient enough. Thinking of making the guitars work, maybe you should have a little note at the bottom telling the viewer to click on the guitars for the songs, eh?

Good synching, though... lets see some more intense stuff next time, eh?

thanks to everyone who posted a review

A few notes.

Hey, first off, you don't have to create the scenes in order. Just make a new scene called "LOADER" and put the preloader in it, then drag it to the TOP of the scene list.

Second, we could do without that song... the one that was playing when the people were running around on the map - everybody uses it. Find something different.

Third, the graphic of the zombie thing or whatever it was had that white border around it from a crappy cut job. You could take the time out to take that out if you're going to use it through the whole thing.

Fourth, your frame rate was mind numbingly low. If this was, like the other guy suggested, trying to show all the flaws in morrowind, you really could have done a better job portraying it.

EFFORT. You need it!

D

incative-account responds:

first: thats probably flash 8 cos i dont have no freaking scenes list to move about >_>

second: that song is the only decent one for a random chase scene!

third: i had a glitch on my morrowind game that made the dremoras have white outlines around them (thats a dremora fewl!) so i decided to leave a white outline!

fourth: any higher and the sound wouldve been out of sync

EFFORT: i put loads into this

JNMC

P.S: i pity the foo who messes with JNMC/T

REM Sucks

That's possibly the best music i've ever heard from REM. Ah well. I think that you needed more variety in your music. Maybe look for something from one of the newgroudns musicians, or have them make something specifically for your flash, because, i feel, right when he chops off the head, the music stops fitting the flash and starts becoming just annoying background noise. It picks up again later on, but for a while there it just doesn't work.

The animation was great, except for the truck driving off... maybe you should animate it driving left behind the wall and then animate a 'distance' truck crossing over the hills and whatnot... ideas ideas...

Anyways, it was really good - i liked the message - you were in the army? Pity... at least you made it out, no?

THE GUYS HEAD HAD THE MAGIC JELLY BEANS! OOOH I MUST GET THE JELLY BEANS!

NecroScream responds:

I know that there is room for improvement, thanks for the tips.

Very artistic

Lacking in alot of movement, you should try some Frame by Frame animation to add a little more to your movie. Other than that, you need to increase the clickable area on your buttons. How? Just double click on teh button, click on the third frame to the right on the button's timeline, insert a new keyframe and draw wherever you want the person to be able to click. It's so annoying to try and click on the very lines that makes up the button.... so very annoying...

Nice creepy stuff - reminds me of my own artwork! Good job!

it's intentional

Please Try Harder

The visual stylings were great and I liked what sounds you used, but there were so many things that just pissed me off that i can't bring myself to save this.

First, you have to right click and 'play' TWICE before you get to the menu. Fix it before you resubmit.

Second, the first flash had so many problems i stopped watching the entire thing, which makes me think that maybe you need a 'back' button so you can exit the current scene and go back to the menu if the viewer feels that it just sucks.

The first scene (the one with the red hill and the gray clouds at the start begins well, and the creepy old music begins (made creepy by the art mind you) and then it just stops, for no reason, in the middle of everything (halfway through the paper blowing in the wind bit)

Then you see the 'zombie' (which you find out is just that a second or two too late) for about a half second before the zombie is replaced by a screen of white.

Finally there's a guy who 'run's across the screen screaming. He's going so slow i can't really call it running... so lets call it... slowly sliding? Yes, that's fine. So the guy's sliding slowly across the screen, and yells for a split second and continues across the screen in silence. This is where i had had enough and closed the window.

Fix this thing, this beast, this monster before you send it to the world! Why would you show off an imperfect thing??

D

Co-Labs responds:

look mate, before you sart having a fit about this have n you not considered that it is because you do not have flash player 8. I accpet that this may be a genuine mistake but i don't think it is too nice telling peole their creations suck before checking that you have no faults of your own first.

Where's your tutorial at?

Bugs? I'm afraid i don't know what you mean by bugs. You see, to have bugs, you must first have CONTENT, and i found none of this. The menu page is fine. The circle runs around and you can click on the links. The "simple preloader" category yields a black screen with a square button on the bottom left that returns you to the menu.

Now that we're back at the menu, lets click another button! How about "simple buttons" (how ironic). Now we are faced with another black page, this one sporting a wide array of, you guessed it (!), buttons! You can click on them, but they do nothing, except, of course, the square button in the bottom left, which takes you (again) back to the main screen.

The last category has the same results as the first.

If the content is there and it's just not loading, try using a 'simple preloader', like the one provided by newgrounds. It's easy to find, so there'll be no question about 'where it's at'. Might want to turn the music down a little too - don't forget, tutorials are about learning information, not about listening to music. (thinking about that you might want to add a mute button as well)

Kevalot-Darkstorm responds:

uhh... hey.. I do have a loader page... well atleast your honest it wasnt the best... ;_;

Sonic 2: Return of the Jedi(?)

Ok, it was a bit better than your average sprite animation except for one small thing:

FPS

Make your FPS higher, because nobody wants to watch teleporting sprites. We all know it's the easiest form of animation in the world (except if you made sprites from stick figures... but then i guess at least they'd be your own creations) So we expect more out of a sprite based movie.

The text in the jungle part goes a little too fast in the middle. Slow it down a bit. Speed up the rest though, and try doing a couple of zooms and different camera shots - more effects! Otherwise those first two sequences get a bit tedious (especially the send one)

Overall i think it's obvious that you've got some potential with this, so keep at it!

D

PS - i like what you did with the lightsabers - looked like it actually belonged there! Congrats!

Skeik responds:

im soirry dude, i think the preloader doesnt work. The fps is 24, so they should be looking nice. Rewatch it and let iut load a while.

Blam a muthafucka

That guy had candy cane colored blood. That's just fucking creepy.

Short, pointless, cheap animation. The loader was the best part, but of course, you didn't make that, did you...

D

numbers responds:

It was the edited NG preloader.

It wasn't pointless, wait, yes it was. It wasn't short, that was a minute long, nigga! As for cheap animation. NIGGA, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK 'CAUSE I CAN HIT A MUTHAFUCKA.

You can't do that, can you...
