Hey! not too bad. The sounds and graphics are fun and interesting. Would really like to see this turned into a real game. Y'know with a goal and stuff. Thaaaaaaanks!

EnderBronze54 responds:

I think I've been inspired...

Controls wonky - up and down sometimes scroll the window up and down for no apparent reason. shots hit the target with no actual effect. No beginning or end... game of nothing. Finish production, try again.

Master-Awesome responds:

Dude, game making is not my thing. It was just something I did for class which I felt like sharing with NG so there will probably be no other game coming. Although, I'm sorry about the wonky controls. I did my best to fix them, but nothing seemed to work that's why I offered an alternative link.

broken game is broken

play test it - the character stops for no apparent reason while holding up or down.

riestudiosTeam responds:

in the process of fixing this, the game was originally designed for mobile, must admit the controls need tweaking. Thanks for the POV

hmmm

the move speed needs increased to make this game playable on difficult - that or slow down the opposition. (in favor of the latter, actually)

I'd see this more as a centipede type game - have the opposition and the main character for that matter be walking around instead of just floating heads. It's a little more programming and some more graphics, but you can do it.

So... slow down the opposition, and since the stage isn't moving anywhere, make it so the items don't just float to you - make the player go get them!

and smaller targets.

WeedMongers responds:

But difficult is incredibly easy since you can shoot bullets and explode shit

Broken flash is Broken

Fix & Resubmit.

XenonMonkey responds:

Someone doesn't get the joke.

I don't know how angry i'd be...

.5 - i assume that means it's unfinished. Don't send unfinished flashes / games to the portal please.

aside from that, the physics are all wonky, there's no acceleration - only one speed... you can get across the first 3 platforms on the first screen by just holding right... no sound... boring graphics... and for god's sake... clickable area. There's nothing more annoying than trying to click a text button and not being able to because your mouse happens to be in-between the T and the A.

Take some time - learn your flash - put in a background - add sound - make the graphics better - add physics - resubmit.

christhabeatboxer responds:

I'm sorry but I aimed this flash to be simple and not too graphical. Also, the start button is really easy to click on. Thank you for your review though

Doesn't work

Mouseover = click... your game is broken. Play test your games before you send them to NG.

bhrugu22 responds:

Game is not broken. It is tested in all browsers, it works perfect.

Plentiful Excitement Abundantly Apparent

First and foremost - language. If this is geared towards little kids, then the phrase "attributes to recreate the example" is not going to fly. At all. haha

Next, just a little suggestion - maybe stick some WRONG pieces in there to mix it up! Oh and you'll probably hear this too, but probably should have a sound on/ off switch. that's about that! Better concept than normal dress-up games. Congrats!

viviornetier responds:

on the next update i will include a music box to choose the music and to mute the music ^^
and thx for the idea to put wrong pieces in there ^^ i will certainly use that ^^
yes but i think that little kids don't sit alone on a pc and that there's almost one adult in the neighbourhood ^^

this is pretty good

Y'know, it LOOKS amazing, but there's a few things wrong. The whole thing is so tiny it makes it REALLY hard to read alot of the smaller text, especially in-game.

The second thing is you are exporting your sounds in the first frame, which you need to NOT do for your preloader to work properly. Ask people about it, and they can help you fix that problem.

Otherwise it's really nice, and just needs an update or two before it's perfect.

T-H responds:

Thanks for the tipoff on exporting sounds, I tried turning it off for each loop, but unfortunately that stopped the sounds from playing by default : ( crazy thing.

Anyway cheers for the review ^^

I play too -

I think you should give this an option to have it progress automatically to the next note after a few seconds, since guitar DOES require two hands.

Also, i personally don't think people should get in the habit of barring a 2xxxx2 chord... it's just illogical to hold so many strings down for two simple notes, but hell, i've never had a classical guitar lesson in my life (until now ;-)

Good stuff - i like the highlightings and everything - most definately a good idea, but again, i think it should have a playalong feature... and maybe you should even be able to slow it down or speed it up if you choose!

Anyways

Nartak responds:

Thank you! I will include one in the next part!
